Screen-printed prints
Dictionary definition: screen printing is a printing process using a screen consisting of a frame over which a mesh fabric is stretched, allowing printing on multiple surfaces.
This is the stencil technique, applied to art prints. The ink passes through the unblocked stitches of the fabric and is applied to the paper, in successive layers: one pass per color.
The prints sold here were printed on the presses of Éditions La fraternelle ( https://imprimerielafraternelle.tumblr.com/ ) at the Maison du Peuple workshop in Saint-Claude (39). Each copy is signed and numbered.
